Last updated: May 6, 2026

Personal data The current app does not collect account details, contact details, location, files, payment method details, or advertising identifiers.
External transfer The current app has no internet permission and does not use analytics, ads, or automatic crash log upload SDKs.
Local storage The app stores only local app settings on the user's device.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the C.A.T.S. Android app, package name com.coderred.cats, provided by CoderRed Lab.

C.A.T.S. is an on-screen pixel pet app. In the current release, CoderRed Lab does not collect, store, sell, or share personal data from the app with external servers.

2. Information the App Does Not Collect

The current release of C.A.T.S. does not collect the following information:

3. Information Stored Locally on the Device

C.A.T.S. may store the following information locally on the user's device to provide app functionality. This information is not transmitted to CoderRed Lab servers.

4. Permissions

Display over other apps

C.A.T.S. uses Android's display-over-other-apps permission to show the on-screen pet above other apps after the user enables the feature. The app uses this permission only to display and move the pet overlay. It does not use this permission to read other apps' screen contents or user input.

Foreground service and notifications

C.A.T.S. may use a foreground service and notification permission to keep the overlay visible while it is running and to give the user a visible way to stop it.

5. Network, Analytics, Advertising, and Crash Reporting

The current release of C.A.T.S. does not request internet permission. It does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, automatic crash reporting, or remote log upload.

This Privacy Policy is hosted as a static GitHub Pages website. Hosting this page does not add analytics, advertising, or network behavior to the C.A.T.S. Android app.

6. Paid Features and Google Play Billing

The current release of C.A.T.S. does not include paid features. If paid features, subscriptions, or in-app products are added in a future release, payment processing is expected to be handled through Google Play Billing.

When Google Play Billing is used, Google processes payment method details such as card numbers and bank account details. CoderRed Lab and the C.A.T.S. app do not receive those payment method details directly. To provide paid features, restore purchases, verify refunds, and handle support requests, the app or CoderRed Lab may process purchase-related records such as purchase status, product ID, order ID, and purchase token.

If paid features are added or the payment flow changes, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data safety information will be updated accordingly.

7. Android Backup

Depending on the user's Android device settings, local app settings may be included in Android system backup. Such backup is controlled by the user's device and Google account settings. CoderRed Lab does not separately collect or access this backup data.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored app settings remain on the user's device until the user changes app settings, clears app data, or uninstalls the app. Purchase records, if paid features are added later, may be retained by Google according to Google Play policies and by CoderRed Lab only as needed for entitlement, restoration, refund, and support purposes.

9. Children's Privacy

C.A.T.S. is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact CoderRed Lab using the contact information below.

10. Changes to This Policy

CoderRed Lab may update this Privacy Policy if app features, permissions, payment flows, or data handling practices change. Updates will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
